Scott Barlow is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Kansas City Royals of Major League Baseball (MLB). He made his MLB debut in 2018.
Barlow was taken in the sixth round of the 2011 MLB draft by the Los Angeles Dodgers. Instead of attending Fresno State, he chose to join the Dodgers.
After signing, Barlow made his professional debut with the AZL Dodgers that year, allowing five earned runs in 1.2 innings of work.
He took a year off from baseball after undergoing Tommy John’s surgery in 2012. In 2013, he made 15 starts for the Ogden Raptors and was 4-3 with a 6.20 ERA.
It’s worth noting that he pitched for the Great Lakes Loons in 2014 and the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes in 2015, where he had an 8-3 record and a 2.52 ERA in 14 games (13 starts).
The Great Lakes Loons and Oklahoma City Dodgers both used him as a pitcher.
Barlow had a 4-7 record with a 3.98 ERA and 1.42 WHIP in 24 games (23 starts) with the Tulsa Drillers in 2016, then a 7-6 record and 3.29 ERA in 26 starts with Tulsa and Oklahoma City in 2017.
