Scott A. Barlow is a Major League Baseball pitcher who currently pitches for the Kansas City Royals (MLB). In 2018, he made his MLB debut.

Barlow’s family moved from Connecticut to California during his freshman year of high school so that he could play baseball all year and gain greater exposure to professional scouts.

He graduated from Santa Clarita’s Golden Valley High School. After being selected by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the sixth round of the 2011 Major League Baseball draft, Barlow signed with them.

On April 17, he recorded his first big league save by completing the ninth inning in a 4-3 victory over the Chicago White Sox.

Barlow participated in a career-high 32 games, with a 2–1 record with a 4.20 ERA and 39 strikeouts in 30 innings pitched.

He was the league’s top pitcher in strikeouts with 39 in 30 innings worked. Barlow agreed to terms with the Royals on March 22, 2022, for a total of $2.4 million.
