Scott Michael Oberg, simply known as Scott Oberg is an American-born professional baseball player. Scott plays as a pitcher for the Colorado Rockies baseball team. He has been with the Rockies since 2012. He will $7 million in 2022 per his contract with the Rockies.
Scott was born in Tewksbury Massachusetts on March 13, 1990. There is no information on his high school career but he played college baseball for the Huskies at the University of Connecticut. In 2009, he played collegiate summer baseball with the Bourne Braves of the Cape Cod Baseball League.
He graduated from college in 2012 and was drafted by the Colorado Rockies in the 15th round of the 2012 draft. Scott signed with the Rockies and made his professional debut that year with the Grand Junction Rockies. In the 2013 minor league season, he was assigned to play for the Modesto Nuts.
He played for the Double-A Tulsa Drillers in 2014 but he could not finish the season as he got injured. He made his MLB debut for the Rockies on April 14, 2015, after he was promoted to the major leagues. In January 2019, Scott and the Rockies agreed to a $1.3 million contract to avoid salary arbitration.
