Shane Bieber’s full name is Shane Robert Bieber. He is a professional baseball player who plays as a pitcher for the Cleveland Indians baseball team of the Major League Baseball(MLB).
Shane was born to Kristine Bieber and Chris Bieber on May 31, 1995, in Orange, California in the USA. Shane began his amateur baseball career at Laguna Hills High School in Laguna Hills California where he was also a student.
After his high school career, he attended the University of California where he was recruited to play college baseball before he graduated from high school. He played college baseball for the UC Santa Barbara Gauchos baseball team.
Shane also played collegiate summer baseball in the West Coast League for the Cowlitz Black Bears and the Cape Cod Baseball League for the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox in 2014 and 2015. During the 2016 MLB draft, the Cleveland Indians drafted him in the 4th round of the draft.
The Indians assigned him to play with the Mahoning Valley Scrappers that season to begin his professional career. For the 2017 minor league season, he played for the Lake County Captains, Lynchburg Hill cats and Akron Rubber Ducks. The Indians added him to their active roster and promoted him to the major leagues in 2018.
Shame made his MLB debut for the Indians on 31st May 2018. The Indians and Shane agreed on a $6 million contract to avoid salary arbitration in March 2022.
