Jeremy Shane Lemieux is a guard who plays American football for the New York Giants. He is currently in his third season with the team.
Lemieux began his playing career in high school. While on the West Valley High School football team, he served as a utility player and played as a tight end and offensive guard.
Lemieux was a sought-after player and had offers from more than half of the schools in the Pac-12, and was regarded as the 36th-best offensive lineman prospect overall.
Lemieux, who was regarded as a three-star prospect, choose Oregon over offers from a number of other colleges and universities, including Boise State, Michigan, NC State, and South Carolina.
Although Lemieux did not play in any games during his freshman year, he did not miss a start between 2016 and 2019, starting all 52 games he played during those four seasons.
After his junior season, Lemieux and a few of his teammates, including quarterback Justin Herbert, thought about leaving for the NFL Draft. However, they decided to go back to school instead.
After completing his senior year, Lemieux was recognized by the Associated Press and Sporting News as a member of the second team of All-Americans and was selected for the first team of all-Pac-12 players.
