While Sheldon Neuse hit .263, he only hit 5 home runs and drove in 55 runs in 135 games, making the going more difficult for him. After an outstanding season with the A’s new AAA club, the Las Vegas Aviators, he was able to make his major league debut at the end of August.

With 99 runs, 102 RBIs, 31 doubles, and 27 homers in 126 games, his slash line was .317/.389/.550.

He hit .250 in 25 games with the A’s, with no home runs and seven RBIs, despite the fact that his playing time was limited due to the A’s tight playoff chase.

With Justin Turner’s future with the team still up in the air, he had an opportunity to compete for the defending World Champions’ vacant hot corner role.
