Simón José Muzziotti was born on December 27, 1998, he is a Venezuelan Major League Baseball outfielder for the Philadelphia Phillies (MLB).
Muzziotti signed as an international free agent with the Boston Red Sox on July 2, 2015. He made his professional debut in 2016 with the Dominican Summer League Red Sox, with a slash line of.317/.354/.383 in 17 games.
Muzziotti was declared a free agent on July 1, 2016, after the Red Sox were found to have violated international signing restrictions. He signed a minor league contract with the Philadelphia Phillies on July 5, 2016.
He concluded the season with the Dominican Summer League Phillies, batting.231/.286/.273 and driving in 12 runs. Muzziotti spent the 2017 season between the Rookie-level GCL Phillies and the High-A Clearwater Threshers, slashing.270/.304/.383 with 14 RBI in 35 games.
He divided the 2018 season between the GCL Phillies and the Single-A Lakewood BlueClaws, batting.250/.289/.313 with one home run and 22 RBI.
Muzziotti returned to Clearwater in 2019 and hit.287/.337/.372, setting career highs in home runs (3) and RBI (28). Muzziotti did not play in a game in 2020 since the minor league season was canceled due to the COVID-19 epidemic.
