As a defensive tackle with the New York Jets of the National Football League, Solomon Christopher Thomas (born August 26, 1995) plays in America. In the 2017 NFL Draft, he was selected by the San Francisco 49ers in the third round after playing college football for Stanford University.
Thomas was anticipated by most experts and scouts to be selected in the first round when he came out of Stanford. Despite being invited to the NFL Scouting Combine, he only decided to compete in the bench press, 40-yard dash, vertical jump, and broad jump.

Thomas signed a four-year, $28.14 million contract with the San Francisco 49ers on July 28, 2017, which was fully guaranteed and had a $18.61 million signing bonus. As a rookie, he started 12 of the 14 games he played in while compiling 41 tackles and three sacks.
The fifth year of Thomas’ contract’s option was rejected by the 49ers on May 1, 2020, making him a free agent in 2021. Thomas sustained an ACL tear and was sidelined for the remainder of the season during the 49ers’ Week 2 game vs the New York Jets.
On March 19, 2021, Thomas committed to a single season with the Las Vegas Raiders. 34 tackles, 3.5 sacks, and two forced fumbles were among his stats while he participated in all 17 games.
