Running back Sony Kevin Michel plays for the Miami Dolphins in the National Football League. His parents, Jean and Marie Michel, welcomed him into the world on February 17, 1995 in Orlando, Florida, in the United States. In Plantation, Florida, Michel attended American Heritage School. Beginning with his eighth grade season, he was the American Heritage Patriots’ starting running back.
At American Heritage, he also participated in track and field events. He attended the University of Georgia after high school, where he played collegiate football for the Georgia Bulldogs. In the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft, Michel was chosen by the New England Patriots. He was chosen that year as the third running back.
With 7 receptions for 50 yards and 931 running yards, Michel ended his first season with six touchdowns. In the 41-28 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers in the Divisional Round, Michel had 24 touches for 129 yards and three touchdowns.
On August 25, 2021, he was dealt to the Los Angeles Rams. With 845 yards, Michel was the team’s leading rusher during the regular season. When the Rams defeated the Cincinnati Bengals in Super Bowl LVI, he would eventually win his second Super Bowl championship. Michel had 2 carries for 2 yards in the Super Bowl. Michel inked a contract with the Miami Dolphins on May 10, 2022.
