Stephen Guy Vogt is an American catcher who plays for the Oakland Athletics in Major League Baseball.

In 2015, he was an MLB All-Star for the Milwaukee Brewers, San Francisco Giants, Arizona Diamondbacks, and Atlanta Braves. In the 2007 MLB draft, Tampa Bay selected him in the 12th round.

Stephen Vogt was named Minor League Player of the Year by the Tampa Bay Rays in 2011, and the Oakland Athletics named him Most Valuable Catcher in 2013.



Vogt inked a one-year agreement with the Arizona Diamondbacks in November of this year. Vogt spent six years in the minor leagues of Tampa Bay and was named Minor League Player of the Year in 2011.

He set a Tampa Bay record with 32 consecutive at-bats without a hit, which lasted until his 2013 Oakland debut. He started all three ALDS games in 2013, and in Game 2 he hit the game-winning single.

In 2015, Vogt led all American League catchers in most offensive metrics, and his.277 batting average was among the top five entering the All-Star break in 2016.
