Steven Kwan has Chinese and Japanese ancestors.
Kwan started the 2021 season with the Akron RubberDucks before joining the Columbus Clippers in late August. Because of a strained right hamstring, he missed six weeks of the season.
Steven Kwan hit.328/.407/.527 with 12 home runs and 44 RBIs in 77 games between the two clubs. On November 19, 2021, Kwan was added to the Cleveland Guardians’ 40-man roster.
The Guardians announced Kwan’s inclusion on the Opening Day roster on April 2, 2022.
