Born in the United States of America on September 5, 1997, professional baseball outfielder Steven Kwan currently plays for the Cleveland Guardians of Major League Baseball. He made his MLB debut in 2022.
Kwan went to school at Washington High School in Fremont, California, where he finished his senior year with a batting average of.462 in 2015.
After completing his high school education, he went on to pursue a degree in baseball at Oregon State University. The Cleveland Indians used their pick in the fifth round of the 2018 Major League Baseball draft to acquire his services.
In 2018, Kwan was a junior and participated in 66 games. During that season, he had a batting line of.355/.463/.457 with two home runs, 41 RBIs, and 14 stolen bases.
Kwan debuted with the Arizona League Indians and then the Mahoning Valley Scrappers. He batted.280 with three homers, 39 RBIs, and 26 doubles for the Lynchburg Hillcats in 2019.
On November 19, 2021, the Cleveland Guardians added Kwan. The Guardian released Kwan’s Opening Day roster on April 2, 2022.
On April 7, he made his MLB debut as the starting right fielder and hit against Royals reliever Scott Barlow.
