Stuart Fairchild is a professional baseball player with the Cincinnati Reds baseball team. He plays as an outfielder for the Reds and has been with them since June 2022.
He was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in the 2nd round in the 38th overall selection of the 2017 MLB draft. He agreed to play and signed with them for a $1,802,800 signing bonus. He then began playing baseball professionally that season with the rookie-level Billings Mustangs.
During the 2018 minor league season, he was made to play with both the Single-A Dayton Dragons and the High-A Daytona Tortugas. In 2019, he played for the Daytona Tortugas but was promoted during the season to the Double-A Chattanooga Lookouts.
After the season, he was selected to play in the Arizona Fall League for the Glendale Desert Dogs. He did not play a minor league game in 2020 as the season was cancelled because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Reds traded him in August 2020 to the Arizona Diamondbacks.
When the 2020 season was over, he was added to the Diamondback’s 40-man roster and was made to play for the Triple-A Reno Aces in the 2021 season. The Diamondbacks promoted him to the major leagues in July 2021 and he made his MLB debut for the team on July 6, 2021.
