The Cincinnati Reds selected him in 2017 during the 2017 MLB draft. He signed with them and started playing professional baseball that year with the rookie-level Billings Mustangs. He spent 2018 playing for both the Single-A Dayton Dragons and the High-A Daytona Tortugas.

The Arizona Diamondbacks purchased his contract before the season ended. He was added to the Diamondback’s 40-man roster and was assigned to play for the Triple-A Reno Aces in the 2021 season.
The Diamondbacks called him up to the major leagues in 2021 and he made his MLB debut on July 6, 2021. The Seattle Mariners purchased his contract from the Diamondbacks in April 2022 and he was claimed off waivers by the Cincinnati Reds in June 2022.
