Linebacker for the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League, T. J. Edwards plays football professionally. He is 110 kg in weight and 1.85 m tall. He attended Lakes Community High School in high school, where he played football. He initially made a college football commitment to Western Michigan University right after high school to play for the Western Michigan Broncos.
He later changed his mind and decided to go and play for the Wisconsin Badgers football team at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He redshirted as a true freshman in 2014 before starting all 13 games as a redshirt freshman in 2015.

As a result of Edwards’ efforts, the Eagles won that week, and he was named the NFC Special Teams Player of the Week. The Eagles chose to sign him to a $3.2 million, one-year contract after he had a standout performance in their Week 11 game, making two interceptions and recovering a fumble.
