Tanner Hudson is an American football tight end who currently plays for the New York Giants of the National Football League. Hudson was born on November 12, 1994.
He attended a college in Southern Arkansas and played football there. Although he was born in Paris, Tennessee, Hudson spent the majority of his childhood in Big Sandy.
He participated in both football and basketball while he was a student at Camden Central High School. In football, Hudson was a quarterback, a kicker, and a punter.
As a junior, he was honoured as the District 11-AA Most Valuable Punter for his performance. After only four games, an injury forced him to sit out the rest of his senior year.
The American Football Coaches Association and the Division II Conference Commissioner’s Association both placed Hudson on the second team of All-Americans for their respective conferences.
He concluded his career as an undergraduate with 143 receptions, 2,152 yards, and 25 touchdown catches from those grabs.
During his junior year, he established new career highs with 48 receptions, 763 receiving yards, and nine touchdown catches.
Additionally, Hudson finished third in the conference with 41.9 yards per punt, which was good for third place. He finished his senior year with 43 catches for 624 yards and six touchdowns while also scoring six touchdowns himself.
On April 29, 2018, Hudson became a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent after signing with the team.
At the conclusion of training camp, he did not make the team, although he was later re-signed to the practice squad. The Buccaneers have officially announced their roster for the 2019 season, and it includes Hudson.
On November 3, 2019, he made his professional debut by catching his first pass, which was thrown by Jameis Winston and went for 12 yards. The game was a loss to the Seattle Seahawks by a score of 40–33.
