Tanner Vallejo, a professional football player for the Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League, lines up at linebacker. He is 1.85 meters tall and 104 kilograms. At Nevada Union High School, where he participated in football while a student, he graduated as a MaxPreps All-American. He attended Boise State University and competed for the Boise State Broncos in NCAA football.
At Boise State, as a sophomore, he made 100 tackles, but wrist surgery forced him to forgo the remainder of his collegiate career. He blocked two kicks in one game as a sophomore that year, helping the Broncos to a 28-0 triumph.
During the 2017 NFL Draft’s sixth round, the Buffalo Bills selected Vallejo. On September 1st, 2018, he was released by the Bills. He was picked up by the Cleveland Browns in the same month off waivers. When the Browns released him in February 2019, the Arizona Cardinals picked him up off waivers. On September 1, 2019, he was fired following the last roster cuts.
The Washington Redskins picked him up the next day off waivers. November 16, 2019 saw his release. He joined the Arizona Cardinals’ practice squad that same month. Vallejo re-agreed to a two-year, $4.1 million contract with the Cardinals in March 2021.
