Tariq Quinton Castro-Fields is an American football cornerback currently playing for the Washington Commanders of the National Football League. He was born on January 14, 1999.
His college football career at Penn State. Castro-Fields was selected by the San Francisco 49ers in the sixth round of the NFL Draft in 2022.
However, the 49ers waived him prior to the beginning of the season, and the Washington Redskins picked him up off waiver.
Castro-Fields spent her childhood in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, where she attended Riverdale Baptist School throughout her childhood.
After weighing his options and considering offers from Maryland and Alabama, Castro-Fields decided to play collegiate football for Penn State, which earned him a rating of four stars from recruiting services.
Castro-Fields participated in all 13 games that the Nittany Lions played when he was a freshman and two games when he was a junior.
As a junior, he led the team in tackles with 52, led the defence with two interceptions and was second in pass breakups with eight.
He made the decision to return to Penn State for a fifth season in order to take advantage of the additional year of eligibility that was provided to athletes who participated in the 2020 season due to the pandemic.
