Tayler Saucedo Age: How Old Is Tayler Saucedo?

In 2021, Tayler Saucedo came out of nowhere to become an important member of the Toronto Blue Jays bullpen.

After being selected in the 21st round of the 2015 amateur draft by the Blue Jays, he was never considered a high prospect and was hardly on the radar until injuries decimated their relief corps in 2021.

He was brought up for the first time on June 21st, after several others had been given a chance, and he proved to be the only minor-league call-up who could be counted on to pitch efficiently, albeit largely in lower-leverage situations.

His ERA fell down to 1.29 in 9 games at the All-Star break, and it was still at 2.03 by the end of July.

On August 4th, he had a terrible outing, allowing four runs to the Cleveland Indians while striking out no one.

With closer Jordan Romano and top lefty Tim Mayza both out, he was given the chance to earn his first major league save on August 22nd:

with a 2-1 lead against the Detroit Tigers, he was given the ball after Adam Cimber had recorded the first two outs in the 9th before allowing a two-out double to Willi Castro.

Harold Castro, a pinch-hitter, was called up to record the final out.
