Professional football quarterback Taylor Heinicke plays for the Washington Commanders of the National Football League. His height is 1.85 m, and his weight is 95 kg. He received his high school diploma from Collins Hill High School, where as a junior he was named an all-state player after helping Collins Hill to a 10-4 record and a trip to the Class AAAAA quarterfinals.

The Georgia Old Spice National Player of the Year award, which is granted to 50 varsity football players from high schools, was handed to him in his senior year. He enrolled at Old Dominion University (ODU) in 2011 on an athletic scholarship and played football for the Old Dominion Monarchs from 2011 to 2014.

By passing yards, passing yards per game, and touchdown passes, his 2013 season statistics ranked him among the top ten FBS quarterbacks. The Minnesota Vikings signed Heinicke as an undrafted free agent after the 2015 NFL Draft, which he had not participated in. He was hired in September 2017 to the New England Patriots’ practice squad but was dismissed in October.

He joined the Houston Texans practice squad in November 2017, and the Carolina Panthers later claimed him off waivers in April 2018. Heinicke signed a contract in December 2020 with the Washington Commanders football team’s practice squad. 2022 saw him make his season debut, and in the Commanders’ triumph over the Green Bay Packers.
