A Major League Baseball pitcher for the San Diego Padres, Taylor Allen Rogers was born in the United States on December 17, 1990. With the Minnesota Twins, he made his major league debut in 2016 and was selected to the All-Star game in 2021.

Having gone 3-1 with a 3.96 ERA in 57 bullpen appearances after being promoted on May 17, he spent the remainder of the season with Minnesota.

Rogers pitched with the Twins for the entirety of the 2017 campaign, compiling a major-league-best 30 holds along with a 7-3 record, 3.07 ERA, and 1.31 WHIP in 55+2/3 innings.

The next year, Rogers made 72 appearances for Minnesota and pitched 68+1/3 innings for a 1-2 record. Initially serving as the setup player in 2019, Rogers was then appointed as the closer.

With an ERA of 2.61 and 90 strikeouts in 69 innings, he collected 30 saves out of 36 chances. Rogers pitched 21 games in 2020 and had a 2-4 record, 4.05 ERA, and 9 saves.

Rogers’ selection for the 2021 All-Star Game was announced on July 12, 2021.

Rogers, Brent Rooker, and cash were exchanged by the Twins for Chris Paddack, Emilio Pagán, and a player whose identity will be revealed later on April 7, 2022, from the San Diego Padres.
