The Nashville, Tennessee-based Tennessee Titans play professional American football. The Titans play their home games at Nissan Stadium in the American Football Conference (AFC) South division of the National Football League (NFL).

The team was formerly known as the Houston Oilers and was created in 1959 by Bud Adams (who remained the owner until his passing in 2013). It debuted as a charter member of the American Football League in Houston, Texas, in 1960. (AFL).

The Oilers joined the NFL in 1970 as part of the AFL-NFL merger after winning the first two AFL championships as well as four division titles.

Tennessee Titans Head Coach

The head coach of the Tennessee Titans of the National Football League is a former linebacker and current coach Michael George Vrabel of American football.

He competed in college football for Ohio State, where he was named a unanimous All-American.
