Teoscar José Hernández is a Dominican professional baseball outfielder who currently plays for the Toronto Blue Jays in Major League Baseball.
He was born on October 15, 1992, in the Dominican Republic (MLB). Earlier in his career, he was a member of the Houston Astros.
In February of 2011, Hernández became a member of the Houston Astros organization after signing a contract as an international free agent.
In 2012, he participated in the South Atlantic League with both the Rookie-level Gulf Coast Astros and the Class-A Lexington Legends. He had a batting average of.271 in 2013, along with 13 home runs, 55 RBI, and 24 stolen bases.

On May 16, he was sent down to the minors for two weeks and returned to the Major Leagues with a marked improvement in his centre field performance. He hit 26 home runs in 125 games, good for a career-high.
