Terence Steele plays in the National Football League as an offensive tackle for the Dallas Cowboys. He weighs 145 kilograms and stands 1.98 meters tall. At Byron P. Steele II High School, he played football. As a senior starting at left tackle for the San Antonio Express-News, he was named to the first team All-Area and All-District 25-6A.
He was a three-star recruit out of high school and ranked as the No. 179 offensive tackle, No. 239 player overall in Texas in his class, and No. 1,844 overall prospect. He played collegiate football for the Texas Tech Red Raiders football team at Texas Tech University.
He started the first 10 games as a redshirt freshman at left tackle. His 13 starts at right tackle as a sophomore helped the team finish in the top 25 nationally in passing yards, overall offense, and scoring. He started all 12 of his games at right tackle as a junior, which helped the team’s passing yardage per game rank among the top 20 nationally.
After his junior and senior seasons with the Red Raiders, he ended his college career with 47 starts and earned honorable-mention All-Big 12 accolades. He took part in the NFL Scouting Combine and the 2020 Senior Bowl at the end of the season. Following the 2020 NFL Draft, the Dallas Cowboys signed Steele as an undrafted free agent.
