Terrance Mitchell II participates in American football as a cornerback for the National Football League’s New England Patriots. He is 1.80 m tall and 87 kg in weight. He participated in high school football for the Burbank Titans while attending Luther Burbank High School, where he played cornerback and running back. After accumulating 2,360 all-purpose yards, 48 receptions, and 24 touchdowns as a senior, he was named the Metro League Offensive MVP.

He participated in collegiate football for the University of Oregon’s Oregon Ducks football team. He accepted an Oregon University football scholarship. He was given the left cornerback starting position as a redshirt freshman. He finished his collegiate career with 144 tackles, 7 interceptions, 25 passes defensed, 38 starts in 40 games, and 4 forced fumbles.

In the seventh round of the 2014 NFL Draft, the Dallas Cowboys selected him. He received a $45,896 signing bonus, four-year, $2.26 million contract with the Cowboys in May 2014. Mitchell was added to the Chicago Bears’ practice squad in September 2014, moved up to the active roster in October, although he sat out the final ten regular-season games as a healthy scratch.

He committed to the Cleveland Browns in March 2018 to a three-year, $12 million deal. Mitchell agreed to a two-year deal with the Houston Texans worth up to $7.5 million in March 2021. He committed to the New England Patriots in March 2022 to a $3 million one-year deal.
