Tony Poljan is a professional football player for the National Football League’s Baltimore Ravens. He stands 2.01 meters tall and is a tight end for the Ravens. He was born in Lansing, Michigan on April 25, 1997. He participated in basketball and football when a student at Lansing Catholic High School.
In his second season as the Cougars’ main quarterback, he passed for 2,802 yards and 34 touchdowns while rushing for 1,017 yards and 22 more. He rushed for 1,237 yards and 25 touchdowns as a senior while also passing for 1,907 yards and 16 scores. He was selected the Michigan Gatorade Player of the Year and first team Division 5-6 all-state.
From 2016 through 2019, he participated in collegiate football for the Central Michigan Chippewas at Central Michigan University. He played wide receiver and quarterback for the Chippewas during his rookie season. After the 2019 season, he transferred to the University of Virginia, where he played football for the Virginia Cavaliers.
In his lone season there, he hauled in 38 passes for 411 yards and six touchdowns. On May 13, 2021, he agreed to terms with the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent. On August 31, 2021, he was released, and the following day, he was added to the practice squad. On January 10, 2022, he agreed to a reserve/future deal with the Ravens.
