Travis Jankowski Age: How Old Is Travis Jankowski?

Travis Jankowski was born and raised in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, where his father, a former collegiate baseball outfielder, trained him and his brother in baseball.

He was injured while playing baseball and gridiron football for Lancaster Catholic High School. Jankowski attended Stony Brook University on a partial baseball scholarship after his smaller body failed to attract the attention of college football recruiters.

Jankowski played a key role in Stony Brook’s Cinderella run to the College World Series in 2012. The Padres drafted him in the first round of the 2012 MLB Draft the same year.

Jankowski developed an offensive strategy that prioritized base stealing as he progressed through the Padres’ development system. He topped all professional baseball players in the United States with 71 stolen bases in 2013, while playing in Minor League Baseball.

However, the next year, Jankowski injured his wrist while sprinting for a fly ball. He pushed himself to return to the field too soon, and as a result, his performance worsened. Jankowski returned to the Double-A San Antonio Missions in 2015 after working on his strength and technique throughout the winter, and he made his major league debut the following year.
