The Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League’s tight end position are interestingly led by Travis Kelce. He weighs 113 kg and stands at 1.96 m. At Cleveland Heights High School, where he played football, he totaled 2,539 offensive yards as a senior.

In addition to rushing for 1,016 yards and scoring 10 touchdowns on the ground, he completed passes for 1,523 yards, 21 touchdowns, and eight interceptions in 2007. Following his high school graduation, he enrolled at the University of Cincinnati, where he played NCAA football for the Cincinnati Bearcats. After redshirting in 2008, he played at tight end and quarterback out of the Wildcat formation in 2009, making 11 appearances

2009 saw him rack up eight rushes for 47 yards and two touchdowns, as well as one reception for three yards. His final collegiate season saw him achieve personal career highs in receptions, receiving yards, yards per reception, and touchdown receptions. Along with being named to the first team of his conference, he also won the College Football Performance Awards Tight End of the Year in March 2013.

The 63rd overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft was used to select Kelce by the Kansas City Chiefs in the third round. He tied the franchise record most receiving touchdowns in a game in Week 5 of the 2022 campaign with four touchdowns when receiving against the Las Vegas Raiders.
