Trayvon Mullen, a former second-round pick, was acquired by the Cardinals through a trade with the Raiders. This move allowed the Cardinals to finally bolster their cornerbacks group.
Mullen must first clear a physical examination before the deal can go through.
According to reports, the price was a seventh-round pick, which has the potential to go up to a sixth-round pick if Mullen plays 10 games. Mullen was anticipated to be cut loose by Las Vegas, but given that the Cardinals are very low on the waiver-wire list, this was a strategy to guarantee that Mullen would be added to the Cardinals’ roster.
Last year, Mullen was limited to just five games due to foot and toe issues. As a Raider, he made 31 of 37 starts and had four picks in those games.
The Arizona Cardinals currently hold five of the top 40 draft picks for the 2019 NFL Draft.
