Trent Brown Contract, Salary and Net Worth

Early in the NFL free agency period, the New England Patriots lost two starters when right guard Shaq Mason was dealt to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and left guard Ted Karras signed with the Cincinnati Bengals.

On Monday, they avoided losing the third starter by re-signing right tackle Trent Brown to a two-year deal.

Brown’s new contract’s financial terms were made public on Tuesday. According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, the contract may be valued at up to $22 million, which includes a basic value of $13 million and guaranteed compensation of $4 million. Incentives for playtime are also available.

When healthy, Brown has been an effective tackle for the Patriots. It was difficult for him last season to stay on the field, though. He participated in just nine of the Patriots’ 17 regular-season games.

The Patriots would be wise to bolster their offensive line before training camp starts in the summer, even with Brown back in the mix.

The Pats may discover quality, reasonably priced players for the offensive line in the 2022 NFL Draft, where head coach Bill Belichick and his staff have seven picks.
