Outside linebacker Trent Harris is a professional football player, however he is presently an unsigned free agent. He stands 1.88 meters tall and weighs 116 kilograms. In the USA, he was raised in Winter Park, Florida. Winter Park High School was his alma mater. After graduating from high school, he went on to the University of Miami where he played college football for the Miami Hurricanes.
He played for the Miami Hurricanes for four seasons, and as a senior, he had a team-high 8.5 sacks and 37 tackles, as well as 10.5 tackles for loss. He was also named third team All-Atlantic Coast Conference. His collegiate career came to an end with 126 tackles, 26 tackles for loss, 15 sacks, three passes defended, three forced fumbles, and one forced fumble.
Harris joined the New England Patriots in April 2018 as an undrafted free agent. He was released following training camp, but in September 2018 he was re-signed to the Patriots’ practice squad. In September 2019, the Miami Dolphins picked him up off waivers. On September 22, 2019, he entered the NFL. The Dolphins issued Harris a one-year, $585,000 tender in March 2020.
The tender was signed by him on April 22, 2020. He joined the New York Giants practice squad in October 2020 and was promoted to the active roster on October 17 and October 22. He was waived in May 2022. He signed with the Baltimore Ravens in August 2022 but was dismissed in the same month.
