He attended at the University of Miami after finishing high school and played collegiate football there for the Miami Hurricanes.
He spent four seasons as a player for the Miami Hurricanes, and as a senior, he had 10.5 and 37 tackles, sacks, and tackles for loss to lead the team. He also received recognition from the third-place Atlantic Coast Conference squad. With 126 tackles, 26 tackles for loss, 15 sacks, three passes defended, and three interceptions in his collegiate career,he graduated.
As an undrafted free agent, Harris signed with the New England Patriots in April 2018. After training camp, he was cut loose, but the Patriots eventually re-signed him to their practice squad in September 2018. He was claimed off waivers by the Miami Dolphins in September 2019. He made his NFL debut on September 22, 2019. In March 2020, the Dolphins tender a one-year, $585,000 contract to Harris.
He signed the contract on April 22, 2020. He signed up for the New York Giants practice squad in October 2020, and on October 17 and October 22 he was promoted to the active roster. In May 2022, he was let go. In August 2022, he agreed to a contract with the Baltimore Ravens, but that same month, the team terminated him.
