Tres Barrera Children: Does Tres Barrera Have Any Kids?

Tres Barrera

Felipe “Tres” Barrera III, born September 15, 1994, is an American professional baseball catcher for the Major League Baseball Washington Nationals (MLB).

Barrera was born in Eagle Pass, Texas, and grew up there until the age of 10, when his family relocated to the Rio Grande Valley. He went to Sharyland High School and played football and baseball.

Barrera was selected by the Washington Nationals in the sixth round (184th overall) of the 2016 MLB Draft. He was assigned to the Auburn Doubledays of the Class A Short Season New York–Penn League after signing with the Nationals, where he hit.244 with three home runs and 17 RBIs in 48 games.

On September 8, 2019, the Nationals selected Barrera’s contract. He made his Major League debut against the Atlanta Braves on September 14, 2019, lining out in a pinch-hit at-bat.  Barrera appeared in two Nationals games in 2019, going hitless in two at-bats.

The Nationals concluded 2019 with a 93-69 record, good enough for a wild card position. Barrera did not appear in any playoff games as the Nationals went on to win their first World Series, defeating the Houston Astros.

On July 19, 2021, Barrera hit his first MLB home run for the Nationals, a solo blast off of former National and current Miami Marlins pitcher Ross Detwiler.

Lindsey Barrera, Barrera’s wife, gave birth to the couple’s first child, a son, in 2020, however, he died the next day. Their daughter was born in the year 2022.
