Tres Barrera Height: How Tall Is Tres Barrera?

Tres Barrera

Felipe “Tres” Barrera III, born September 15, 1994, is a Major League Baseball catcher for the Washington Nationals. He is 6 feet tall.

Barrera was born in Eagle Pass, Texas, and lived there until he was 10 years old, when his family moved to the Rio Grande Valley. He attended Sharyland High School and participated in football and baseball.

The Washington Nationals selected Barrera in the sixth round (184th overall) of the 2016 MLB Draft. After signing with the Nationals, he was assigned to the Auburn Doubledays of the Class A Short Season New York–Penn League, where he hit.244 with three home runs and 17 RBIs in 48 games.

On September 8, 2019, the Nationals selected Barrera’s contract. He made his Major League debut against the Atlanta Braves on September 14, 2019, lining out in a pinch-hit at-bat.  Barrera appeared in two Nationals games in 2019, going hitless in two at-bats.

The Nationals concluded 2019 with a 93-69 record, good enough for a wild card position. Barrera did not appear in any playoff games as the Nationals went on to win their first World Series, defeating the Houston Astros.

On July 19, 2021, Barrera hit his first MLB home run for the Nationals, a solo blast off of former National and current Miami Marlins pitcher Ross Detwiler.
