Trevor Vaughan Gott is an American professional baseball pitcher who currently plays for the Milwaukee Brewers in Major League Baseball.
Gott was born on August 26, 1992, in the United States. After playing collegiate baseball at the University of Kentucky,
he was selected in the sixth round of the 2013 Major League Baseball draft by the San Diego Padres. He made his MLB debut in 2015.
Gott has previous experience pitching in Major League Baseball with the San Francisco Giants, Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, and Washington Nationals.
The city of Lexington, Kentucky, is Gott’s birthplace. In 2005, he was a member of the Southeast Lexington squad that competed in the Cal Ripken 12-and-Under World Series.
His position on the team was that of a pitcher. In one of the games of the series, he retired nine batters in three innings by striking them out.
Gott received his secondary education at Tates Creek High School. One of the writers for The State Journal described him as “one of the top pitchers in the state” back in 2010.
He finished his senior year with a record of 6-0, a 1.12 earned run average, 76 strikeouts in 47.1 innings pitched, and he hit.382 with two home runs and 13 RBIs.
He was selected Gatorade Player of the Year for Kentucky High School.
