Troy Andersen Parents: Meet Scott and Nicole Andersen

Troy Andersen is a linebacker for the Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League. He stands 1.91 meters tall and weighs 110 kilograms. He played football for Beaverhead County High School in high school. He was chosen to the first team All-State at safety and quarterback as well as the Montana Defensive Player of the Year after racking up 1,403 passing yards, 877 running yards, and 30 total offensive touchdowns as a senior.

He also recorded 71 defensive tackles, two fumble recoveries, and three interceptions. He played collegiate football for Montana State University’s Montana State Bobcats team from 2017 to 2021. He graduated from Montana State with a degree in agricultural business in May 2021.

As a true freshman, he made game starts at linebacker and running back. After amassing 515 yards and five touchdowns on the ground and seven receptions for 45 yards and one score, he was voted the Big Sky Conference Freshman of the Year. On defense, he made nine tackles and one sack. In order to rest from his ailments, he redshirted his final year.

He won the Big Sky Defensive Player of the Year award and the Buck Buchanan Award as a redshirt senior. Andersen participated in the Senior Bowl in 2022. The Atlanta Falcons selected him with the 58th overall choice in the 2022 NFL Draft.
