Ty Montgomery plays wide receiver and running back in American football for the National Football League’s New England Patriots. He is 1.83 m tall and 98 kg in weight. While a student at St. Mark’s School of Texas in Dallas, Texas, he was a standout in the sports of football, track, basketball, baseball, and lacrosse. For the football team, the Lions, he played quarterback, running back, and wide receiver.

As a senior, he ran for 823 yards on 93 attempts, added 17 receptions, and scored 10 touchdowns. He has 36 total touchdown receptions and 118 receptions for his high school career. He played collegiate football for the Stanford Cardinal football team from 2011 to 2014 at Stanford University.

With 61 receptions, 604 receiving yards, three touchdowns, and 144 rushing yards, he completed his senior year. On the ground, he also scored once. Prior to the conclusion of his collegiate career, he had 172 receptions for 2,125 yards and 15 touchdown grabs. In the third round of the 2015 NFL Draft, the Green Bay Packers selected him.

In October 2018, he was acquired by the Baltimore Ravens in a trade. April 2019 saw him sign with the New York Jets. In total, he has 103 rushing yards from 32 carries and 90 receiving yards from 13 receptions this season. His contract with the New Orleans Saints was signed in May 2020. In March 2022, he signed a two-year, $3.5 million contract with the New England Patriots.
