Prior to the draft, Wallace was expected to be selected either in the second or third round. However, he tore his ACL in November of 2019 and this caused several teams to reconsider their interest in him.
Tracin, his twin and a former teammate at Oklahoma State, retired from football in 2019 after tearing his ACL for the third time.
Tylan is fulfilling his twin’s NFL ambition by making a name for himself as a healthy and valuable fourth-round draft pick in the NFL.
There was a safer option for Wallace in 2020: he could have opted out of his Oklahoma State commitment, kept working on his knee injury, and started getting ready for the draft.
Nonetheless, in 10 games, he caught 59 passes for 922 yards and six touchdowns, enough for an average of 15.6 yards per reception.
