He is Tracin Wallace’s identical twin. Tylan played football for South Hills High School in Fort Worth, Texas, during his senior year of high school. He recorded 182 receptions for 3,760 yards and 48 touchdowns while he was a high school student.
He and his identical twin brother Tracin both committed to play collegiate football for Oklahoma State University after finishing high school. At Oklahoma State University, Tylan played collegiate football for the Oklahoma State Cowboys. He participated in 13 games as a freshman at Oklahoma State in 2017 and had seven receptions for 118 yards.
He began each game for the team as a starter the season after, in 2018, for the first time. The Baltimore Ravens selected him in the fourth round of the 2021 NFL Draft. On May 14, 2021, he committed to playing for them by signing a four-year rookie contract.
