Tyler Coyle is a safety with the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League. He is 1.85 m broad and weighs 95 kg. He attended Windsor High School, where he participated in football. With 28 receptions for 700 yards and 11 touchdowns as a junior, he captured the Class L-Small state title. In his final year, he caught 29 passes for 741 yards and 12 touchdowns.
He was selected for the Walter Camp Football Foundation All-Connecticut team, the First-Team New Haven Register All-Star team, and the All-Hartford Courant squad. He played intercollegiate football for the UConn Huskies of the University of Connecticut. As a redshirt freshman, he started 9 of the 12 games in which he participated.
He took part in every one of the 12 games as a sophomore, starting 10 of them. Fourth in the AAC, he led UConn. His 86 total tackles as a junior, when he participated in 11 games, led UConn. Furthermore, he made 54 solo stops, nine PBUs, one interception, and forced two turnovers.
In his final year, he changed schools and joined the Purdue Boilermakers football team, where he resumed his playing career. He played in 3 games at Purdue as a senior and graduate transfer, recording 13 tackles overall and one pass break up. Coyle joined the Dallas Cowboys as an undrafted free agent after being left off the selection board in the 2021 NFL Draft. He joined the practice squad the next day after being released by the Cowboys in August 2022.
