Kinley pitched for the Jupiter Hammerheads of the Florida State League’s Class A-Advanced division in 2015, posting a 1–3 record and 3.25 ERA in 44 innings.

Kinley began the 2016 season with the Class AA Southern League’s Jacksonville Suns, where he had a 3.96 ERA and 51 strikeouts in 50 innings.
