Tyler Kinley is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Colorado Rockies of Major League Baseball (MLB). He previously played for the Minnesota Twins and Miami Marlins.



During his time at Barry University, Kinley was a member of the Barry Buccaneers, a college baseball team. Kinley was chosen by the Miami Marlins in the MLB draft’s 16th overall pick in 2013.

A number of injuries sidelined him while he was with the Marlins. His final two minor-league seasons were spent with both the Rookie-level Gulf Coast League and Class A-Short Season New York-Penn League Batavia Muckdogs, with a combined 0–1 win-loss record and 7.07 earned run average (ERA) in 14 innings.



Class A South Atlantic League, where he appeared in 28 games as a reliever for the Greensboro Grasshoppers, he had an overall record of 3-1 with a 2.70 ERA in 2014..

For Jupiter Hammerheads of Class A-Advanced Florida State League in 2015, Kinley pitched to a record of 1–3 and a 3.25 earned run average in 44+13 innings.

Kinley has a 5.19 ERA in 27 games with the Jumbo Shrimp in 2017 after starting the season in Jacksonville. In the Jupiter, he had a 1.98 earned run average.
