Tyre Phillips, real name Tyre Jerel Phillips, is a member of the National Football League’s roster of professional football players. He participates for the Baltimore Ravens as an offensive lineman. He played football his freshman season and subsequently in his junior year at Grenada High School in Grenada, Mississippi. He received some scholarship offers from FCS institutions, but he decided to attend East Mississippi Community College in the hopes of signing with a Division I program later on.

He played two seasons with the Lions at East Mississippi Community College before enrolling at Mississippi State in January 2017 to play college football for the Bulldogs. His first year at Mississippi State was spent as a redshirt.

During his junior year, he then participated in an offensive line rotation while playing both tackle positions. Phillips started each of the Bulldogs’ 13 games during his senior year. He participated in the 2020 Senior Bowl following the season. In the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft, he was selected by the Baltimore Ravens. He suffered an ankle injury on November 3, 2020, and was put on injured reserve until being activated on November 30 of the same year.

He was carried off the field in the first half of the season-opening game against the Las Vegas Raiders in September 2021 due to a knee injury. He was recalled from injured reserve in October 2021. He was once more placed on injured reserve in December 2021, ending his sophomore season.
