Tyron Smith is a professional football player who plays left tackle for the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League. He stands 1.96 m tall and weighs 141 kg. He played high school football at Rancho Verde High School, where he attended. He attended the University of Southern California after high school and played three seasons of collegiate football for the USC Trojans.

Along with multiple other All-Region distinctions, he got All-American recognition from Parade, SuperPrep, PrepStar, Scout.com, and EA Sports. He stepped in for the freshman team’s left offensive lineman. He took part in ten contests. During his second season, he started twelve of his first starts at right offensive tackle.

For the 2009 season, he earned mentions for All-Pac-10 and CollegeFootballNews.com Sophomore All-American. As a junior, he took part in 12 games. He was selected in the 2011 NFL Draft by the Dallas Cowboys. Smith stated he would miss out the rest of the 2020 campaign after deciding to have neck surgery in October 2020.

The injured reserve was then added to include him. He had a number of ankle issues throughout the season. At the beginning of the 2022 season, he tore his hamstring while working out in training camp. On August 31, 2022, the injury reserve became active.
