On September 7th, he was called up to Washington and made his major league debut that same day, pinch-hitting against the Philadelphia Phillies.

In 13 games, he hit .250. However, in 2018, he was sidelined for the majority of the season due to injury.

In addition to several rehab appearances, he was limited to 40 games with the AAA Syracuse Chiefs.

In AAA, he hit.278 with two homers and ten RBIs, then hit .288 in 21 games with three homers and ten RBIs after being called up to Washington in September.

Due to his absence for the majority of the season, fellow prospect Juan Soto jumped ahead of him when the Nats needed outfield help, and the 19-year-old did not waste his chance, having a fantastic rookie season.

During spring training in 2019, Robles earned a starting position in centerfield and began the season with Soto in the Nats’ outfield.

He, Soto, and fellow youngster Carter Kieboom all hit home runs in a 7-6 win over the San Diego Padres on April 28th. They were the first trio of teammates under the age of 21 to accomplish this feat in the same game.
