The Baltimore Ravens have announced that they have signed linebacker Vince Biegel to a one-year contract. During his four seasons in the National Football League, Biegel has played both inside and outside linebacker positions.
Biegel played for the Miami Dolphins in the years 2019 and 2021, although he was sidelined for the season in between due to a ruptured Achilles tendon.
During his debut season with the Dolphins, Biegel started 10 of the 15 games in which he participated as an inside linebacker.
He finished the season with 59 combined tackles, 2 1/2 sacks, and one interception. After returning from his injury, he was only able to participate in five games and make two tackles.
After having foot surgery shortly after being selected by the Green Bay Packers in the fourth round of the 2017 NFL Draft, Biegel was only able to play in nine games during his rookie season. He played for the New Orleans Saints throughout the 2018 season.
The Baltimore Ravens believe that by adding Biegel to their roster, they will be able to fill the void left by Chris Board, who recently signed with the Detroit Lions.
Additionally, the Ravens believe that Biegel will be able to assist with outside linebacker duties while second-round draft pick David Ojabo continues his rehabilitation from tearing his Achilles tendon.
