Wesley Martin is currently playing as an offensive guard for the National Football League’s Washington Commanders. He was born on May 9, 1996. In the fourth round of the 2019 NFL Draft, Washington selected him after he played college football for Indiana.

Martin has also played for the Jacksonville Jaguars and the New York Giants. Martin was selected by the Washington Redskins in the fourth round of the 2019 NFL Draft (131st overall).

On September 29, 2019, Martin made his NFL debut, starting at right guard in the New York Giants’ 24-3 loss in place of starter Brandon Scherff.

On September 27, 2021, Martin signed with the New York Giants. Martin was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list on December 6, 2021, and he activated again on December 16 of that same year.

Martin was traded by the Jacksonville Jaguars on May 11, 2022. On August 23, 2022, he was released.

Martin played 25 games while making 10 starts throughout his first two seasons with the Commanders. He participated in 50 games with the Hoosiers, starting 43 of them. In 2017 and 2018, he led Indiana as a captain.

Martin is a great addition to the Jaguars, and he should be a reliable depth player for Doug Pederson’s squad

On August 24, 2022, the Washington Commanders claimed Martin off waivers. On August 30, he was released, and on September 5, 2022, he rejoined their practice squad.
