During his time in college, he received numerous All-American and All-MAC awards. The Vern Smith Leadership Award, presented to the top player in the MAC, was bestowed upon him during his senior year in 2014.
Mancz didn’t receive a pick in the 2015 NFL Draft and soon after signed with the Texans. Mancz started center for the Texans for the entire 2016 campaign after Nick Martin suffered a season-ending injury.

Mancz’s tape and background make it reasonable to assume that he will find a way to flourish in the league, according to Lance Zierlein of NFL.com. He was envisioned by Zierlein as a pick in the sixth or seventh round. Mancz was predicted by Chris Burke of SI.com to go in the middle to back of the fifth round.
Following his unavailability in the 2015 Draft, Mancz signed with the Houston Texans on May 8, 2015. In the first three games of the 2015 campaign, he participated, but the following five games saw him sit out.
He injured his knee, necessitating surgery, in the latter part of October. On November 3, 2015, he was put on injured reserve for the duration of the entire season. He was removed off injured reserve on February 8, 2016.
Mancz enrolled in the Baltimore Ravens’ practice squad on January 12, 2021. Mancz committed to playing with the Ravens on January 29, 2021, in a reserve/futures deal.
Mancz was sent to the Miami Dolphins on August 28, 2021, along with a pick in the seventh round of 2022, for a pick in the sixth round of 2022. On November 10, 2021, he was transferred on the injured reserve. On December 18, he was put into action.
