Rocky Mountain Time Zone was established by the Rockies, MLB’s first Mountain Time Zone team since the Twins in 1903. They have made the MLB playoffs five times, each time as a wild card team in the National League.

They were knocked out of the playoffs in the first round twice, in 1995 and 2009. In 2007, the Colorado Rockies made it to the World Series, but were beaten by the Boston Red Sox in seven games.

In the history of Major League Baseball, this team’s late-season surge was one of the best. The Rockies finished the regular season with a record of 14-4 after starting play on September 16 with a 76-72 record.

The wild card berth was decided in a one-game playoff against the San Diego Padres, which ended in a 9-8 triumph after 13 innings. Colorado then won the NL pennant by winning their first seven postseason games (thus, at the start of the World Series, the Rockies had won a total of 21 out of 22 games).

Rocktober became a catchphrase for their unlikely October run.

What Do I Need To Know Before Going To The Rockies Game?

The Rockies are doing everything they can to restrict the amount of interaction between fans if that’s a problem for you. It’s a Coors Field tradition to enjoy a beverage on the Rooftop while watching the sunset over the Rocky Mountains.

However, this year’s gatherings will not be allowed in the ballpark’s standing-room sections. All the way down to playgrounds are included in this category.

In the concourses, there will be no standing and catching some of the game. Unless you’re buying concessions or using the restroom, you have to stay in your seats at Coors Field.

The Rockies have decided to allow non-alcoholic beverages and food from outside the stadium this season.

Although there are some restrictions, such as bringing in only one serving size and making sure your plastic bottles are still factory sealed, you should be fine.

You can bring in empty reusable plastic or metal cups or mugs as well. Be careful not to include any seeds or nuts still in their shells when preparing your food for the game. Plan beforehand if you want to bring any of these foods inside the building.
