Before joining the Kansas City Royals, Martin Maldonado played for the Chicago Cubs, Milwaukee Brewers, Los Angeles Angels, and Milwaukee Brewers. He was acknowledged as having been chosen by the Angels in the 27th round of the 2004 draft.
